Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Soldering Technician to join a client in Fremont. This is a 1-month temporary position.

Candidates must be flexible about the shift hours, and be available to work Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:00 am and 10:00 pm.

Job Duties:

• Perform precision soldering and rework on small surface-mount components (SMDs), including 0402 passives and small ICs, using hot air and fine-tip soldering equipment.
• Component removal and replacement on populated PCBs with proper pad preparation, flux selection, and solder paste application to ensure high-quality, reliable joints.
• Support electrical testing such as continuity, functional checks, and HiPot testing.
• Inspect and troubleshoot solder defects under magnification.
• Follow IPC workmanship standards, maintain ESD-safe practices, and document rework activities while supporting engineering, prototyping, and production efforts.

Requirements:

• Prior soldering and testing experience.
